The tradition of Ara comes from the fusion of two souls: shamanism and wicca.
Since the very beginning of her personal journey, Phyllis Curott has followed both Wicca and Shamanism as parallel paths. It was therefore natural for her to develop her own synthesis that, over time and with the contribution of other practitioners, has become a well-defined identity, moving away in some ways from this two original paths: the tradition of Ara.
Like other Wicca traditions, the Temple of Ara is a mystery and initiatory tradition.
What we are seeking is the Mystery of the estatic communion with the Divine, that moment when the weave of reality is pierced and we can glimpse what lies beneath it, when everything we believed to be real, or possible, expands to show us that it wasn’t but a piece of a much greater tapestry.
